Hi…..Have been reading several books about hikers doing the PCT, AT, and CDT. I ran across your book “Alone in the Fortress of the Bears”, and enjoyed it the most! I then read your PCT book, which was also very absorbing. .You have a talent for making the reader feel like h/she is really there. You really need to write some more, for those of us that enjoy that type of solitary adventure, but are too old & limited to do these trips ourselves! Thank you for many hours of “escape” and enjoyment!!

Buck, I don’t know if you remember but during your desert hike, on Kumvia peak, we crossed paths. Are you still writing? I’m looking to purchase your 1000 mile video through the brooks range and other items. You ever consider writing a book about your life? Who you are, how you came to do the things you do has always intrigue me.
