Hey Buck! I love your adventures and have followed along on most of them. I was just curious about one thing. It looks like you’ve backpacked in all of the 4 corners states, but Utah. I was just curious if you have backpacked in Utah before and didn’t share it on your site or if you had any future plans to backpack there?

Hi Scott, I’ve spent considerable time in Utah. In 2020 I was planning a long hike including Utah but Covid got in the way. The lesser hikes I’ve done there I haven’t documented. Have you hiked Utah? Any recommendations? Buck
Yeah I’ve done quite a bit of hiking in Utah. When I haven’t lived in Utah I’ve been pretty close to the border (Farmington, NM and Grand Junction, CO) I used to live up north in Provo, but now I’m in the southwest corner. I love exploring the Colorado Plateau. I’m planning to do the Uinta Highline Trail in August. Not sure if you’ve heard of that one. I haven’t done any hiking or backpacking in the High Uintas yet. That Uinta Highline Trail hike should be epic! I’d like to do that and the Parnuweap Canyon hike someday. The Utah portion of that 2020 hike was going to be my own route. I used to spend weeks in Grand Junction when I was smokejumping. We jumped fires all over that region, but I’ve never been on the ground in the Uintas.
