I have done a lot wilderness adventures in the past, including a 45 day canoe trip in Northern Quebec, eventually down the Rupert River to James Bay. Some winter climbs in Northern New England. But nothing like the extended and solo adventures you have done. I just finished reading Alone in the Fortress of Bears. GREAT BOOK!!! I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed it. I am amazed at how much you enjoyed your wilderness diet, and also that you didn’t get lonely. I have only been solo backpacking once, and must confess to getting lonely. So I envy… Read more »
